Summer Break

To Whom it May Concern,

I would first like to thank you for visiting The Bullpen. Although it might not seem like it, there is a lot of work involved in pushing this type of content out to you. Seeing our pageviews rise every week is thus really rewarding. It means that people like what we’re doing. Which means a lot to me and the rest of our contributors.

Why you shouldn’t write for an SEO company

So, as part of my transition out of the military I have been looking for part-time, freelance writing jobs. I recently applied to a Search Engine Optimization company that is looking for proof-readers, writers, and project managers. All jobs that I imagine I would have no trouble doing – based on my 9 years of experience as an engineering officer in the Navy combined with my actions regarding The Bullpen.

What follows is the email exchange between myself and “Susan” – who I am sure is not a real person.

Friday Hilarity – Edition #13

Every week we bring you the best jokes, videos and photos on the Internet.

There are plenty of sites that aggregate this stuff, but we like to try and sort through it all and present you with the best of the best.

Like that homeless guy with a shopping cart full of recyclables (anyone else think this is a great way to reduce the city’s waste removal expenses? I say we expand it to include garbage. If you bring your own garbage in, you get a nickel. The bums would clean up the streets for us!)

So, if you think you’ve found something hilarious send it to

If it’s good enough – we’ll put it up. We might even remember to give you a shout out.

Caption Ready

Can someone please come up with a caption for this? We'll feature it next week

The Best Flash Games: Indestructo Tank

Warning – this is one of the most addictive games I’ve played in awhile. Indestructo Tank lets you drive around in, well, an indestructible tank. Kill enemies by driving into them. Get as many points as you can before your fuel runs out.

Rum Runners

Rum Runners

By Bill McEwen

One of the biggest piss-offs about going to a live concert is the line-up for beer. Not only is the average wait-time about 3 years, but the warm glass of cow urine you receive is usually subject to a 200% markup. All of us will pay it though, because unless you’re lucky enough to be passed a joint, there’s nothing worse than spending a sober 6 hours in the summer heat, struggling to see your favourite band over a crowd of drunk assholes.

Cigar Review: Boli Corona Extra

Cigar Review: Boli Corona Extra

The life of Cogsworth Q. Titsby is one most everyone is envious of. Not many people get to enjoy the company of a mighty fine woman, whilst concurrently taking pleasure in the most excellent Scotch Whiskies in the world, along with frequent samples of the most supreme luxury life has to offer – a hand-made Cuban Cigar. Of course – with so few people able to do it – all the more reason for Cogsworth to take the lead. Today, the first of many Cigar reviews from The Bullpen’s resident aficionado.
